Small spaceship thruster type game
Hey guys, long time no post.. There was this game I always played but of course I forget the name.. for some reason I thought it was called 'r-type' but when i played it just now, its nothing like that.. In the one I played you controlled a small ship which had 'asteroids-like' thrusters that you needed to use to navigate the map. It had gravity pulling downward so if you didn't use thrusters you'd crash to the ground. That's about all I remember if anyone can help.
Thanks |

There have been many, especially as shareware/PD/freeware but one was called R6 or something similar.

Rocketz PD is one of them - it's AGA only though and i'm pretty sure it was shareware at one time and you could register to get the extra caves but it is public domain now. Great game - one of my favorites! Linky : http://www.lemonamiga.com/?mainurl=h...hp%3Fid%3D2261

I'd like to find all the thrust type games.
so far I've got Fly harder Gravity power Gravity force Zarathrusta Rokkit R3 (the art of rocketry) Raider Dr Plummets House of flux Fleuch Space Taxi Rotor Blasteroids Cabaret Asteroids, Hemroids, amigoids etc The Executioner Phoenix Fighters Rocketz Stardust Super Stardust anyone know any more to add, comercial or pd? I think HOL Should have a seperate listing for thrust games at the moment its under multi-directional shooters also can someone answer, why does raider run so much slower in ntsc than it is does in pal, the screen is ntsc sized. Ithought to get it faster I should run it in ntsc but its alot slower ? Also While I'm here, can I ask does anyone have a working adf of Sky Fighter (Rainbow arts) ?? |

hey guys! thanks for the responses and it's funny how many of these types of games there really are, but I think the one I remember might be R3! Unfortunately I cannot find any screenshots of it, I might have it on a floppy at home I may have to dig around for it if I can't find any adf's online.
thanks |

The reason PAL is probably quicker is because the screen has 1/50 of a second to be drawn, so if it's more than 1/60th but less than 1/50th, it will update 50 times a second for PAL. 50 fps vs 30 fps accounts for why it appears so slow under NTSC. |
