let's make them all CD32 [Unofficial] :D
Yea! good idea! ...but... is there any prog which remap joystick to keyboard hits?
i found one - KeyStick_v21.lha - it realy works but only on system screens (like WB) maybe there is other universal prog for doing this (like WHDLoad make it for specified game - patch many non system things) ??? |

Nope. Games need to be patched to use something else instead of the keyboard.

there are some games that only need one f*****g keyboard hit to go in game...
for example: Franko (game like Doman). you have to type one letter on password screen! ...but there is a chance for this game becouse in WHDLoad realese readme is: " version 1.0 (17.02.03) done by JOTD: - initial release - password protection removed - PAL/NTSC hacks removed. Use NTSC/PAL tooltype to set the display properly" ...but i install using WHDLoad from floppys (from tosec) and after 1sec black screen its exiting without any message. strange... who got working WHDLoad installed version? |

It's all pretty pointless anyway isn't it? Are these games WHD installed? if so, it's only a matter of trying them out in the CD32 to see if it runs.
Forget about SimCity 2000... needs 4MB of RAM. |

@Swierk: I'm no expert, but I tried a lot stuff, and I think there's no way to patch non-WB-games with an external proggie... Only chance would be probably whdload if it's possible... @TheBoss: Moonstone : 444 Ninja Rabbits: 888 (?) Mr. Nutz: 444 Aladdin : not enough mem... Alien Breed II : 444 Body Blows: 444 civ : 200 ? Colonization: ? High Seas Trader: ? Lemmings 2 & 3: maybe with mouse ? Pinball Mania:keyboard Pinball Hazard: keyboard Sim Life, Sim City 2000: ? Slam Tilt: no chance!!! Watchtower: ? btw: i won't make an other compilation, as fu***** bas**** get rich with em on ebay... |

Frostwork: maybe you can make a update to your cd and include that it may not be sold for money, like on ebay as a front screen when you play the cd.

I included both on back-cover and inside the menu that this cd is not for sale... Sadly Akira is right: these ass***** sell them anyway... I wished I never made them... I just wanted to contribute s.th. for the amiga-community, and didn't want to help dump su**ers to get rich with others efforts... Sadly the world is full of those people |

Hhhmm!
In theory these trolls can simply remove the covers & the text before selling them, but I don't think that they even can do that (or it would make too much for for them...)... Alternatively every single guy who wants to buy those cds, should be told that they are free, maybe with a link onto the threads regarding the cds... This would be quiet lot to do, but if everybody takes part it should work...(?) |

make a "bootscreen" before the cd enters the games menu where its explaines shortly the author permits use only as freeware and it may not be sold at all, like on ebay...

Yeah that could work. The Assassins used to do a similar thing with their compilation disks: "If you have paid more than #2 for this disk you have been ripped off; we can supply them for just #1", or something to that effect.

What about making a fake auction on ebay?????
Just name it "CD32 game compilation 888 444 games" and just put a text in the auction explaining that the CD must be freely distributed and if the buyer intends to pay this CD, he helps growing the number of the fu**ing bas**rd who makes money with Frosty's work......And put direct links to download in the auction too ( for example my website links that is in the cd32-888 thread ) I know that it will not stop this bloody people to sell the CDs but perhaps the buyers prefers to download the item instead of buying it and if there's no more buyer -> no more sellers It's a bit optimist but why not try this????? The shame is that it's much as difficult to stop sellers to sell free items than to stop people to share copyrighted items.........................
