Amiga4096 - New Amiga Game 2014!

Hi all

I hit a mental block on JetHunt conversion so to get me back into it I needed a quick project. So presenting Amiga4096!

Get it from the download section here:

http://coagulus.newport.net/cs/index.html

This should work on all Amigas with 1MB of CHIP RAM

(ps Clicking the 4096 logo switches to classic 2048 mode!)

[edit] Cursor keys or joystick/joypad to play too!

Coagulus (now going back to doing JetHunt!)

Works a treat :-) Horribly addictive game, though. I have spent many a frustrated train journey playing it on my phone.

Yes, I had to write my own version so that I got it out of my head! It helped. I still may add some more things to it in the future like mouse control, flashier effects etc but it's out.

I'm back to finishing JetHunt now, with the odd play of 4096 of course.

Neither could I, tried for ages before release. Then, 10 minutes afterwards:

(and yes, I use Winfellow to also try A500 releases!)

Played it on my tablet and it's very addictive.

Will try and get my CF Reader working so I can try it on my A1200

I played this a lot on my hols. Even having never played 2048 I got hooked right away. It's the perfect 'while waiting for task to complete' game - especially on my underpowered laptop. Unfortunately I suck at it - my feeble score is not worthy to print here =(

I only just noticed this thread today. My game is coming along a treat so I can spend a few minutes (which will probably end up being hours ) playing this... and no, I'm not revealling anything more on my game until October-ish.

Thanks guys for playing this. It was only a quick thing to write, and I may improve it in the future... Glad it's got some plays.

Now I'm gonna go back to slogging away (not as regularly as I like) on JetHunt, when I'm not playing this anyway!

My best score so far (after about 30 hours of playing - largely thanks to be on annual leave from work last week) and the only time so far that I got to the 2048 tile.

PS. I love the music too (though on the screenshot I turned it off to help me focus...)

You'll do it, don't forget there is a 2048 mode instead of 4096 (Which I've only got once so far on my version!).

And cheers about the music, one of the reasons I'm knocking up the odd smaller game is because I wrote loads of music in the early 90s which didn't get used, now I'm using them.

I actually missed the mention of the 2048 mode in your first post! (until today)

I had a go at 2048 mode today and came pretty close to doing it. My highest tiles were 1024, 512, 256 and 128... but getting 2 64 tiles next to each other was just too elusive today

I did. I like it although you could make graphics to be a bit brighter and high score saver would be also highly appreciated.

After a break from the game, I returned today just for a bit of fun.

I finally got the 2048 tile whilst in 2048 mode. I continued afterwards, but sadly failed to reach the 4096 tile

Maybe, just maybe someday I'll get th 4096 tile...
