Window P96 "card" driver?
Every now and then I use the tool "SiW" - screen-in-window (http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/SIW) that mirrors, or re-renders, a screen into a window on a public screen, and even passes on inputs from mouse and keyboard from the window to the mirrored screen. Very handy if you mainly use RTG, and some random (system friendly) program throws up a screen on PAL (or NTSC).
But this got me thinking, would it not be possible to have a "card resource" for P96 (and/or CyberGfx) that really is a program that draws to a window on a public screen? Just throwing this out there, in case someone is lacking a project |

I can't really see why not - a virtual card in other words. I thought of that a little while back actually with a different aim - rendering a desktop across two monitors. The screenmode chosen would be a virtual card at, say, 2880x900, which then passes half the buffer to each of the real cards running at 1440x900 each. I don't have the sort of coding skill required to realise something like that unfortunately...
