Freezing in 4.9.1

Hi all, anyone else having issues with Winuae 4.9.1 freezing?

It doesn't matter if i'm playing a game, copying files, playing music etc it will run for about 10-15 minutes then freeze. Task manager said its not responding but i can't end the task either, the pc is still working fine, i can do anything else but the only way i can close Winuae is to hit the pc's reset button cause choosing restart results in me just sitting at a screen waiting for Winuae to end and it never restarts.

I will try going back to an older version but thought i'd report this and see if anyone else is having trouble?

Thanks

Hung application that can't be killed usually means some kernel level driver call is not returning.

You can try to right clicking winuae.exe in task manager and selecting "Create dump file" and compress and attach/email it (if it isn't too large, sometimes it is many megabytes). I can analyze it to find what has happened (usually).

Oddly i got a video driver update last night from Geforce Experience, after updating i tried Winuae again and it ran for a couple of hours. If it crashes again though i'll be sure to create the dump file

Thanks

Did you try to close or reset winuae?

Dump file shows it being hung in CloseHandle(<handle to physical drive, memory card most likely>)-win32 call when winuae is trying to free all devices.

Possibly bad card reader or SD card has some issues.

Nope, it was copying files but hd access indicator at the bottom wasn't showing anything. Tried clicking within workbench but no response, tried F12 but no menu came up. Brought up task manager and it wasn't responding again. I'll try another card reader and if that fails a different sd card. Thanks for the responses and looking

I would check windows power options in-case it reduces USB power when computer is idle. Set to "best performance" and also increase drive timeout which is usually 20 minutes

Toni may be right that its a bad SD card. I tried another this morning and after 1 hour copying no issues. Also tried an msata drive over usb and again no issues. Thanks
