@HardStep not quite
![]() The Honeybee control does it perfectly - all seven buttons can be set to either rapid or auto fire. Setting the pause button to auto = slow motion. @JOTD - Barbarian (Palace) is on my wishlist, Is there any chance you could look into that whenever you've got free time? I hope I'm not being a huge dick by bringing it up again, especially after all of the awesome work you've done lately. |

![]() . No. I was hoping for an update of your wishlist. Btw curse of ra is now working but needs vk for codes and needs testing on real HW. Also, is there any DOS/aga games that need cd32 pad mapping? I got the idea for another program like fakepad but in reverse. I have updated the googledocs spreadsheet. No second prize, Flashback, odyssey, work. Push over works on dev version, and I m improving exe reloc again to make Slamtilt and lionheart work (psygore installs without public source, a pleasure...) Maybe in some other cd32 thread that already exists... Last edited by jotd; 18 August 2017 at 14:35. |

The Strangers - http://hol.abime.net/2132 Final Odyssey - http://hol.abime.net/542 I honestly can't think of any others than that right now, but I'll post here when they come to mind! Edit: COALA, I think I tried Joy2Key2 in the past with no success. Having said that, by virtue of being a flight sim it may have too many keyboard controls to be playable on a pad (at least without a modifier key, like Wing Commander and Gunship 2000) Edit 2: Come to think of it, a few non-AGA flight sims are similar to COALA in that they're both DOS booting and don't work with Joy2Key2 (Their Finest Hour springs to mind). Though virtually any flight sim would probably require more keys to map than the pad has. Last edited by earok; 19 August 2017 at 09:04. |

Yeah, something like that now that we know how to send low-level key events (thanks to Toni).
I was thinking of AGA whdload installed games (using kickemu) that could benefit from this treatment. You're right about Flight Sims, though. Running on a console requires some rationalized controls, which flight sims don't have. |

Awesome work, I should revisit the games I tested on cd32 + sx32 cf to see how they benefit from the new version.

Just remembered: Mutant League Hockey AGA is something that could be worth looking at for a generic key->joypad mapper tool (I *think* from memory there was an option to pause or timeout that could only be done from keyboard, otherwise the game is perfectly playable on a two button pad)

Hi jotd,
Is there any future for the psx adapters by Paul on whdloadcd32 etc? I'm confused as to why games like moonstone hitting circle or games in the Psygnosis release all reset with circle. It's so weird. Or even why in lemmings it controls both the 2 players with 1 player or 2 players . I would appreciate some solution regarding this as I believe PlayStation pads are probably the best alternative for me than an original cd32 pad. If this has all been fixed then I apologise but I would love to see a fix for this in the future if possible. Appreciated Chris |

The rest, I'm not so sure about. I do have some problems trying to use them on official CD32 titles (Project-X and Overkill spring to mind). On basic WHDLoad there are some titles that work just fine when configured to one button mode (Rick Dangerous), but will play up when in CD32 pad mode. |

I am guessing the adapters aren't fully emulating the CD32 pad properly. When I was testing robinsonb5's Sega 6 button to CD32 adapter, we run into some issues where some games were acting weird. this was related to timing and stuff. Try Body Blows Galactic or Ultimate Body Blows, for example, see what happens.
You really need 100% exact emulation of the serial protocol happening there for it t work fine with all games. I don't think any adapters right now do it. |

I added a column to the spreadsheet for CD32+TF328. I will soon be able to make tests with that setup!

there's a CD32load (not whdloadcd32, 2 separate programs) feature to reset the game when hitting a lot of buttons together. Hitting circle probably has the same effect than pressing the CD32 buttons all at the same time, which explains the reset.
@Akira: Supaduper will donate me that card, so there'll be both of us ![]() |

I could share my image I use on my CD32 + SX32 if you'd like. May not be able to do that earlier than Wednesday evening though. It uses X-bench as loader.

BTW my zip does NOT contain the latest cd32load, you'll have to update that yourself.
Some games didn't work for me, other still require keyboard/mouse or a cd32load key remap treatment. Last edited by spudje; 20 September 2017 at 07:48. |
