Any coverdisks you already have?
I was just wondering if any of you AMR members already happen to have certain coverdisks in your possession, but which are not downloadable for a variety of reasons (i.e. tough copy-protection)?
I'm always willing to scour eBay from time to time for any obscure coverdisks but I'd rather not end up gunning for something that you guys already have a copy of anyway. |

We do have some comy protected discs - but there aren't a huge number. I'll usually put a note on the coverdisc record indicating that it is copy protected. Which means I probably have a copy.

I know that some of the coverdisks available are in "extended ADF" format, but I assume not all coverdisks are easy to dump like that? Do they all come with different protection schemes to one another? Hopefully the SPS team have been able to help out with dumping more protected coverdisks, and also hopefully giving you the a-ok to make the IPFs available...

Okay, I've just spotted a huge smattering of Amiga Action and The One disks on eBay going for peanuts each and I'm prepared to bag as many of them as poss.
![]() But first, please confirm whether the following are copy-protected or not.... The One #58 - July 1993 - Disk A - Cannon Fodder The One #62 - November 1993 - Disk A - Uridium 2 The One #64 - January 1994 - Disk B - Zool 2/Beetle Amiga Action #34 - July 1992 - Disk 1 - Liverpool Amiga Action #58 - June 1994 - Disk 1 - Puggsy Amiga Action #59 - July 1994 - Disk 2 - Naughty Ones Amiga Action #69 - April 1995 - Disk 4 - Blues Brothers Amiga Format #53 - December 1993 - Disk 2 - Uridium 2 It's just on their respective mag pages there is no note to say if the disk(s) is/are protected or not. Also, why is there usually a case of a scan of a coverdisk being available but not a dump? I take it an external party was able to provide scans at the time but not dumps for a reason (perhaps 'lack of an Amiga' is one of them)? |

Maybe this thread could help?
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...ed+cover+disks At a quick glance, I can see Liverpool on there. |

Thanks, but that thread hasn't been updated in a fair while so I don't know how far they've progressed.
Also, it would be well silly if they had SPS'ed certain disks years ago and still not released them... |
