Stream mods directly

As some of you know, I run an online stream of Amiga related music. The music has been converted from MOD to MP3 and I then stream via Shoutcast and Winamp.

To save space and time, it'd be nicer to be able to stream the MOD directly rather than convert it.....

Is there an app I can do this with that works with Shoutcast or something similar ? If I have to run WinUAE and an Amiga install, thats fine.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thinking about the formats, mod files needs to be loaded complete then played, in other words they can't be streamed like an mp3 file for example.

However, since mod files are so small size wise, theoretically you could set up a web server with all the mods then update a playlist (e.g. text file or JSON) which dictates the mod currently played and then the client/player downloads each mod before playing.

Maybe there is a standard or implementation of this out there already?

JACK audio kit to patch output of module-player to shoutcast audio input...(works in linux, should work for others 8)

Don't really know but this sounds like something that is right up the alley of gstreamer. You could probably build a pipeline with suitable plugins that use a module as a source and a mp3 file or network stream as a sink.
