Thanx

Pete
2.1 was always HD installable, just insert your "INSTALL" disk and that will allow you to partition and install.

FOR Free ?

I think you should be looking to buy { even second hand } a version of the 2.1 OS if you check out the download rules of this site you may read this .
also it helps to have the manual so you can check things out I found the os 2.1 for A600 more usefull than 3.1 for 1200 !

Thank you, but I need the actual files, I don't have the workbench at all. I'm looking for a free workbench to download.

Workbench is not free, it still copyright. You can either transfer and convert them from the disks originally supplied with your Amiga or you can buy them from http://www.cloanto.com/amiga/forever/ If you legally own the set of Workbench 2.0 disks then you could search for them.
