Which Playstation controller?

I was wondering if there are any Playstation controllers which are compatible with Kipper's or KMTech's PSX adapter and you could still buy new? As about used ones, which controllers would be the ones to get?

AFAIK, new ones (not Sony, of course) are only available from China, you should try and search Aliexpress. I ordered one a couple of years ago and it still works fine.
