Hey Cammy, great work on this setup - I wish I'd found this sooner, its awesome.
Runs great up my A1200 (060/PPC/Mediator/Voodoo) right up to 15bit 800x600, it even runs at 24bit albiet slowly. Best option I found was 800x600 256col and its perfect, this is through the Voodoo with P96 driver. Took a while to work out the Memory settings and such, is there a limit? I have 256mb Ram and used 8 and 16mb settings without issue. I took some pics of it in action |

Awesome stuff Fabie.
I have a problem though, not sure if anyone can help? I ran Quick Time player and it crashed the emulation, now when you start Shapershifter I get a macOS message that it was not shut down properly and then it crashes again Any way to reset the system so it thinks its a fresh boot? Damn noobs - sorry |

Hi fitzsteve. If you have a problem with something in MacOS you can hold down shift when you boot up and it will disable extensions and go straight to the OS. From there you can deselect the extension that's causing a problem, like Quicktime, from the Extensions Manager in the Control Panel.
I have 32MB in my A1200 so I use 16MB for MacOS and the rest for AmigaOS, but if you have 256MB it wouldn't hurt to give 64MB or 128MB to the Mac. In any case, keep an unaltered backup of that MacOS7.6.1 hardfile I made, it's a fully updated installation of the OS without anything else added or changed, so if anything goes wrong you can always just copy it over and start again. |

Thanks Cammy, I'll keep that backup as suggested and thanks for the other tips.
I'm also going to have a try with this on my simple A1200 (Blizzard 1230) Anyway thanks again for the pre installed pack, I never did get this working before Also just played some Wolfenstein 3D, runs nice at 512x384 Steve. |

Oh, man I've not played the Dos version in years - but this seems better - that could just be nostagia taking over though. I think I have the shareware version on my Duke3D CDROM somewhere maybe that works with XP - I might check that later.

Unfortunately that Settlers II archive is the same as the one I've tried before, which doesn't work. SimTown didn't work either, and I have no way to burn CDs on my Amiga so I can't get Warcraft at all. Does anyone have working versions of these games running in Shapeshifter?
As for DOOM, since the Mac version runs in 640x480 and the Amiga version runs in any resolution, including 320x200, the Mac version is just too slow to play on my Amiga. I might have a go at running the DOOM Benchmark test but I'd have to run the Amiga version in the same resolution to make an even comparison, but I really don't have the time for it right now. |

Hi Cammy,
I wanted to try some of these games but I couldn't add another drive or directory for the files so gave up. If there is an ISO I can burn to CD I can try that in my A1200T as it is has DVDRW in it? I wanted to try some of the 68k(060) games off that site like Duke Nukem 3D, but I couldn't figure out how to access the files I have all the .sit files and stuff on my 'Work' partition but stopped there, I only didn't post becuase I didn't want to take this thread too far off topic and plus I've been doing other things... If you can point me in the direction of an ISO for the Settlers II I can try installing that and see if it works. Also can I make the HDF bigger? Steve. |

The games probably loose all there Data Forks - If you have Windows use HFVExlorer to copy the files to your Virtual Mac HD - CDs you can install under WinUae/ShafeShifter UaeScsi.device

if youre using AmigaOS, you can use the mac handler included in shapeshifter to mount the MacHD. then you can easily copy over the .sit files. Then in mac os drop the .sit files onto StuffIt Expander to extract them. I tested the Settlers II download listed by Fabie and it does work fine.
