A600 with faulty sound
I obtained an A600 a few years ago. Unfortunately I didn't end up using it much, because it had an intermittent sound problem - when I first got it, the sounds would only crackle away, you couldn't make out what they were meant to be. Then for a while it seemed ok, and then it came back. I just wondered if anyone has had similar problems. The cables that connect it to the TV aren't at fault, because they work fine with the A1200 I have.

Try a different power supply.

Possibly drained or leaked capacitors (I have an A600 with this) - you need to replace the capacitors near the sound output connectors and it should be OK. They are SMD (VERY small) though, but if you soldered before and have a steady hand (and use a tweezer) then it shouldn't be a problem ;-)
