The only place that I found that sells the xrgb2+ outside asia was ncsx in US:

http://www.ncsxshop.com/cgi-bin/shop...ml?id=knSSqXI9

Got mine from there (very quick and marked down)
Use it for all my ntsc consoles and pal a1200 & c64, so yeah it's compatible with both. However you will need to convert a 21pin euro rgb scart to 21pin jap rgb scart as they use different pin configs.

Worth every penny.

Just got mine on Friday, but I don't have a suitable power supply for it yet (the swappable heads on my universal power supply are missing.. ;-)

Edit: PSU bought and SCART -> Japanese RGB converter soldered.

WOW.

None of the other V-boxes have anything on this unit! I was sad that my older Redant V-box died on sunday, but now I have no regrets.. :-D The picture is amazingly clear.

Gotta find an Amiga -> SCART cable and try an Amiga with this too. :-)

Watch eBay. The XRGB2+ can be found pretty cheap there. I got mine for $190 brand new, shipped (not much of a discount really, but it was new). But, I've seen them go for under $150.

(I'm still looking for an XRGB2 (non plus) though...)

now that i bought it and found pinouts following your link, do you know where i can find on the web affordable scart and db23 connectors with wires made in a way that i can easily connect them according to the pinout scheme with the exclusive use of my fingers...(if possible in canada or the US)

thanks in advance.

disappointed

hi guys.

i finally suceeded in pluging my amiga to my lcd flat panel through my new xrgb2+ and i must admit that i'm a little disappointed. the 2 main reasons are :

- lowres rendering is very average. pixels are too cubic and the rendering is much better on my tv though composite plug!!! do you think it may be due to my lcd screen (i do not have a CRT) or is this due to the xrgb2 box ? also maybe i missed some critical xrgb2 settings : which ones did you play with to get the perfect picture? one of them seems very mysterious : DTC, what the optimal setup for this one ?

- when playing with quick scrolling games (such as slamtilt), when scrolling, the screen gets darker so that it makes the game very unpleasant to play.

any clue on how to make it better ?

thxs.

It's due to the TFT.

If you don't run the TFT panel at it's optimum resolution, you get a more or less ugly picture.
