Suggestions on how to get Tint by The Black Lotus to run properly?

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get the awesome demo Tint by The Black Lotus to run properly in WinUAE. Unfortunately whatever configuration I try I'm getting these graphical errors in the screenborder, as shown in attached screenshots.

Is there anyone that got this demo to run properly with any of the recent WinUAE's? If so what are the recommended settings?

Thanks!

It doesn't really help when you haven't said what version you're using or posted a config dump, besides Toni has previously stated that it's probably a bug in the demo itself, you could try the version that BackSpce suggested in the other thread.

Sorry, but this is not a demo bug. The demo has been working on my real A1200 with either my Blizzard 030@50Mhz or Blizzard 060@50Mhz (using WHDLoad version) without these graphics problems ever since the '96 release. I've also watched it on friends their Amigas back in the days who had quite different setups (A4000, A1200 with other type turbo boards and memory configs).

With regards to WinUAE. I've tested it with WinUAE 2.5.1, 2.6.0, 2.6.1 and with all of the following versions from Workbench and from clean boot:
- tbl-tint.lha (party version): http://scene.org/file.php?file=/demo...t.lha&fileinfo
- tbl-tint-fixed.lha (includes 040 fix and newly added end music): http://scene.org/file.php?file=/demo...d.lha&fileinfo
- WHDLoad installed version

I've done so with so many configurations on said versions of WinUAE, that it doesn't make sense to attach any single configuration. None of them make it work properly.

I wouldn't be so passionate about it, if it wasn't such a great and Amiga defining one. Think Amiga AGA demo's and you think "TBL-Tint". IMO this is a demo that WinUAE just can't do without it working properly...

Toni, if no one else can come up with a working config, possibly you could shine up your famous crystal ball again for this specific case? That would be really appreciated.

Fixed. Sprites outside of bitplane area emulation didn't expect HAM mode and output whatever was left in HAM buffer.

(Yes, it has sprites enabled on top and bottom blank areas, sprites are only used for text in the middle, top and bottom are always blank)

Demo has bug(s) but it only causes hangs or glitches if timing is not "good" enough enough.
