How about "What's the score?" This could mean information, prices, whatever and is a perfectly usable English phrase.
This would also fit the context in RN's link above ^^^ Or maybe "Do you know the figures?" Last edited by Merlin; 24 November 2008 at 16:32. |

'Er hat es in sich' implies some sort of challenge/danger, while I think 'it has a lot to offer' is more like opportunities of some kind. Hope that makes sense

@ R-N
I am trying to figure this out; this is what the Americans might call "it's going on here" or "it's all going down here" (sounds better in a '70s Huggy Bear accent lol) Last edited by Merlin; 24 November 2008 at 17:12. |

It's pretty hard to translate German phrases into proper English.

Hmm, sounds not bad Merlin. I like the way that it only implies the roughness and doesn't put it in directly

Eep! Quite a bit of conversation going on here. Interestingly I had come to the translation "Can you give us any figures?" by myself. I'll ponder the Irada line some more. Now, I'm still looking to do something with this:

- Aber nicht doch. (Ist doch cool mann.)
- Of course not. (It's all cool man.) or - Stop it. (It's cool man.) Can't say which one is more suited. Maybe 'Not with you' fits better here |
