Operation Starfish controls

Does anyone know what all the combos are? You're supposed to be able to run to get up hills... well you can in the SNES version anyway, but I can't seem to do it in the Amiga version.

I can't remember how to do that on the Amiga version, but I do remember I didn't use the keyboard for any action regarding running. I believe it was something about carrying the right item.
