Educational game with a dragon attacking a castle

Greetings,

I would like to find a little educational game from my childhood that I cannot for the life of me remember its name.

What I remember is the following:

You view the game from a side scrolling type perspective, on the right hand side there is a castle that you have to protect and on the left there is a dragon approaching the castle. At various moments the dragon stops and a question pops up. If you get the correct answer the dragon stays there and another question pops up but if you fail the dragon comes closer to the castle. After a number of failed questions the dragon reaches the castle and its game over.

Im not sure the type of questions and I cannot even remember if you could select the subject of the question being asked.

That's all I remember, everything else is lost in fuzzy memory. Would appreciate if someone could help me find this

There's a dragony-castley bit in Math Wizard called Dragon Race. Could that be it?

Hmm, maybe not an Amiga game after all? If you played it at school I'd imagine more likely it would have been via a PC? My junior school had BBC Micros, but that was more of a UK thing.

I was so sure to have played it on my Amiga 500 but now that you mention is and since my memory is rather fuzzy I have to accept that it might have been a PC game.

UK based? A lot of schools back then were using BBC machines, and if it was Amiga era, you might have been thinking of the Archimedes instead, which did look reasonably like the 16 bit machines that followed, and had a few cross over software games (especially Lemmings)...

No I am not from the UK, I'm from a tiny island called Malta

I have no idea what a BBC machine or Archimedes is so I doubt it was something that was on them.

According to https://timesofmalta.com/articles/vi...s-Malta.469026

BBC Micros were used in Malta. I know your memory is fuzzy but some more information like roughly what year did you play this game and also where (home/school etc). would help.

Well you learn knew things everyday Thanks for the info, had no idea.

As for the year I can't say for sure but probably early to mid 90's and I definitely played it at home. Not sure what else I remember, it probably had more than one subject to choose from and it was similar to the Dragon Race in Math Wizard but it was viewed from much closer thus the dragon was bigger and it had brighter graphics as well.
