All versions of Winuae after 2.1.0 freeze mouse when I Ctrl-F12 to Fullscreen

It's driving me nuts. I'd like to utilize the speed enhancements & loading times of later versions after 2.1.0 but all cause my mouse to freeze if I enter full screen mode from a window. The emulator still runs & hasn't locked up just the mouse cursor. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit with a Geforce 9800 Nvidia card. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Attach winuaebootlog.txt, please (both from latest beta and last working version if possible)

Probably rawinput related, are you sure you don't have any applications running in background that tracks mouse position or something?

Does keyboard keep working?

Hi Toni,

Yes, keyboard still works, and I can exit windowed mode to fullscreen & back again. Mouse cursor is only thing that locks up. No, I don't have any mouse curor positioning software installed I even tried it under Windows XP and have the same problem. Here's the attachment. Thanks for your help.

Try without GBA.
Check that mouse is still set in GamePorts panel after switching to fullscreen.

Okay, mouse freezing problem solved. Changed mouse type in game port from "HID compatible mouse" to "Windows Mouse" & it works fine now with versions later than 2.1 when I enter fullscreen from windowed. But now I'm noticing a blank screen in fullscreen mode frequently when I do this. lol. If it's not one thing it's another. Thanks for your help & at least offering me a clue on where I should look to fix the 1st problem.

Random blank screen should be finally fixed in latest beta, or set display mode to DirectDraw (misc panel).

EDIT: Confusing mouse problem if HID mouse works in windowed but not in fullscreen.. Have you tested with different mouse? (Perhaps it is some buggy "game" mode in mouse drivers or something)

The blank screen problem went away once I deselected the Correct Aspect Ratio option. I'll try DirectDraw to see if it allows me to use the aspect ratio feature. No, didn't try a different mouse. Thanks for your help & your continuing development of WinUAE, one of my favorite emulators. Great work. .
