hmmm, I would have been interested in buying this but NOT from ebay...
I signed up to place a bid a few years ago, and got swamped with so much spam, I had to change my isp and email... Never again... |

Gnu?
Never have such a misadventure with eBay. I got more trouble with Usenet, personal web site, etc... Are you sure to not have put your email address anywhere else where spammers used to steal mail addresses? Maybe also eBay wasn't as sure as today few years ago. If you want to bid and doesn't want to be spammed, create a new address on yahoo or another free email account provider. So that if you receive too much spams, you just have to do not use it anymore. |

I don't think ebay had been going that long when I tried it. It's probably a smidge better now...

As an old fogey that hates unsolicted mail
EBay Uk has been used by my missus on her XP running machine she however uses a NTL e-mail address .
So I supose the amount of SPAM depends on the link details picked up by automated services. Its a guarentee that when you register with any NEW site your details end up being passed in some way to buisness or personal services { nudge.. nudge... wink wink... say no more } NOT that I think for one SECOND that you were looking for THAT Your into re-enacting battles not starting New Conquests I doubt if you use an open e-mail contact adress that you will find things any different As it still depends on those silly little preferences boxes that eiether need to be ticked or unticked in order to suposidly preserve your privacy from your intial sign up E-mail is so common these days that I personaly just delete ALL bulk mail without checking ! However thats another thread all by itself |

I'll blame M$ for all the crap they added to IE to deliberately stop amiga browsers working...
I had to sign up with aweb, search with voyager and could only bid with ibrowse iirc... As for those silly preferences boxes, they probably never even showed up if they're done with javascript... what a pain in the fundament |
