Hard-Drive problem
How can I reformat my Amiga 1200 hardrive and install workbench 3.1 from scratch?
Whenever I start it up at the moment the hardrive just clicks a bit then I get a software failure. I can get stuff to startup from the floppy drive though. I did have it sort of working when I got it. It had a cd-rom drive working and also a zip drive. It was all working but I wanted to redo it all. I want the Amiga to boot from the hard-drive. Please help me. Pixel ..Once I get it working. I will need to know how to set up my zip drive and cd-rom drive. |

Easy, back up your important data, boot from Workbench 3.1 floppy select the drive and then select format If you need to repartition the drive, Boot from the Install 3.1 floppy and using HDToolbox, modify your partitions and then format it. You can reinstall Workbench by booting from the install disk, there's an install script on that disk.
