A500, Boot switch & Gotek External Adapter
Hi all,
My first post - and it's for help... Sorry... Well I recently bought an A500 after owning my first one in '89. I do have the gotek drive and do not want to modify the case, nor do my mid fifty eyes feel up to any internal soldering. So I am looking for the most elegant way to mount the gotek externally. Has anyone used these two adapters in combination on an A500?   I already have the switcher (i bought to use with an external drive hoping it would be the answer but the board in this FDD did not like the gotek jumper assigned at df0.) As I am using 1.3 WB I do not have the soft boot option, so will need the hardware switcher to be compatible with this adapter. Any feedback would be hugely appreciated especially from anyone who is already using this combination. Thanks for reading

If you already have the DF0/1 switch and only want to manage nice external connection of Gotek, I can recommend using the Gotek round cable such as this:
 This way no need of any adapters or exernal enclosure (so its significantly cheaper) and works very well. I have made many of those and people are happy

I have both options. One from Amigoun and the one in the other photos. I also have that switcher. They all work great, but, Pavel's cable looks cleaner, IMO, than the raw board from the other seller (probably Kevin Mount).
