I had a Python (not the microswitched version) and I thought it was alright at the time.
The Zipstick is my fave though and is scientifically proven to be the best joystick. @Bippy I had one of those Bugs and found it completely unusable! A case of form over function. |

I have one of these Pythons, but it's broken so I can't test it to see how good it is, however there's one at Cash Converters for $2.70 so I might buy it and test it out.

I thought I was the only one!
Many a time I would've loved to snap the controller off with my bare fists. Lump of carp! However, I do love QuickJoy |

I voted 'crap', because all digital controlers are crap except this one, which is the very best
And nothing you guys can say will change my mind |

uh... my friend had one on his amstrad... it broke... I bought one... it was broke on arrival...
my god, it definately deserves "crap" for reliability... on the other hand, the quickshot thing I have now (and for the past 12 years) is the best thing since sliced bread... better than anything on the market tbh |

These where really really crap. I know they're Atari's but somehow I always had a couple around in case something was wrong with my beloved "The Arcade" sticks and boy do they suck. They hurt your hand, the firebutton feels clumsy and the stick above all feels so unresponsive. Horrible, whoever designed this peace of shit should find work in a completely different branche. |

Well, this was a budget joystick back then. Don't expect super sturdiness for $25
But these pilot grip joysticks work surprisingly well for shoot'em-ups. But I prefer to have a button in the joystick base. The little joysticks that were held like water pistols with a knobby knob knob joy on top were more deserving of a hate poll. Absolutely good for not a single game. For Amiga, my faves are Tac-2, Maverick (QS-162), any decent Megadrive controller, and my ultimate one: my home built arcade joystick! I really recommend anyone who owns a soldering gun to take a 400x100mm sheet of steel or alu, buy proper stubby SuperJoy (not made anymore, but Happ Controls have a similar replacement http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/super_joy.htm), make some holes, and add some buttons (preferably blade switched Bally type, don't seem to be made anymore)... put the panel across your knee and spank it Such a panel is really the only universal control I've found - shoot'em-ups, platformers, Pac-Man type games, fighting, racing games all become more enjoyable and easier. |

The newer CP sticks have no autofire, sadly. I'm not sure about the old ones from the 80s/90s, can't remember it exactly.
