BLIZZARD 1230 + battery= not a dos disk
Hello everyone,
Never having had a battery on my 1230 accelerator card I posted it off to Amigakit to have one fitted.As expected they did a great job of work on the card and I eagerly put it back into my Miggy 1200.This was a week ago and ever since whenever I try to install software after prep'ing on my Pc with Magic Workbench I immediately get a checksum error.Whether I do a soft reboot or a boot from cold after the error the result is always the same."Not A Dos Disk on DH0".I have 4 drives that I can swap out - each has a different workbench on it - 2 are mechanical drives and 2 are 4gig compact flash cards.When I hook them up to the Pc and run WinUAE I get the same error and have to reinstall DH0.The other 2 partitions on all the drives holding mostly games are fine - I only need to format DH0 and reinstall.I dont want to remove the battery if I can help it - has anyone got any ideas as to what is causing this?? I am assuming it is the battery because I have a spare 1200 without a battery on the accelerator and that runs with no problems......er help would be greatly appreciated Dave |

If it weren't for the fact that it works without the accelerator, I'd say you do not have
MaxTransfer = 0x1fe00 on the drives... |

theres no way it would be the battery,so like the above comment try the maxtransfer setting.
you might have to reinstall the software though.(due to corrupted files)just saying in advance. |
