Digital Creations DCTV User's Guide?
Does anyone have the user guide to DCTV and DCTV RGB Converter?
Thanks in advance. Last edited by FerociousAmiga; 07 June 2021 at 23:20. |

Yes. Stephen Jones (from Checkmate 1500+ fame) has the manual for the PAL version.
I have previously asked for a scan from him. He did say he should be able to help, but maybe a prod from another person might help motivate him? |

@ferocious
I would be thanking you very much... However, I just get a 'You do not have sufficient privileges to access this page.' message Any ideas as to my lack of entitlement on that site? I cant seem to find an answer there. Last edited by BomberMillz; 04 October 2021 at 13:23. |

Hey no probs. Thank YOU for finding it!
Slightly off topic, but I was hoping it would provide some more technical insights into how the display images are needed to be set up, but it doesnt. Specifically, how far to the top left does the 'magic' encoding have to be? I also guess, as the unit requires a specific x axis resolution, that this data is at a fixed point in the actual raster screen makeup rather than the image itself. (I was hoping to see if it could be used for Amiga sprite/BOB based image manipulations as well as on the OTHER 16/32 bit machine that (ex) C= staff made, amongst other things! ) No matter, I will have to set it all up, read through the C libs provided with the driver disks and test it out I suppose. But still, thankyou for finding that manual! |

Glad I could help the Amiga community. I don't know much about DCTV. I recently purchased one from eBay that had the manual and disk v1.0 (not fully compatible w/ WB 3.2). So I scanned it into PDF since I could not locate one anywhere on the web.
PS By any chance do u have the DCTV v1.1c (NTSC) disks? I have only seen disk 1 here on EAB FTP. Thx |

Sorry. Being in PAL land, I only looked for them ones.
I cannot remember what NTSC ones I came across in my searches. So, the PAL ones go to 1.1b. Where is the 1.1c NTSC version mentioned? As a favour for going to the trouble to scan the manual (which I am eternally grateful for), I will do my best to find the latest driver disks for you though. May take a while... |

Thanx!
Didn't even know there was a 1.1c version. (Of course, every time I think of my DCTV, I get mad that Digital Creation's Brilliance paint program doesn't directly support their own DCTV hardware... Grrr... ;-) |

Ditto!
I was surprised it didn't have DCTV support too! |
