Question Kaiser

I have downloaded multiple cracks of Kaiser from Planetemu.net and they all work fine until I have to change discs and put 'disc 2' in Df0. From this point on the game does not recognise the discs anymore.

Is it once more an emulator setting I need to change or is the game corrupt?

All the adf´s on the net (mostly all) are corrupt, they even don´t work on a real A500 ! I once transfered my own disks into adf and they worked but I cannot find those in the moment ....

Andreas was so nice to upload his version for some GAEB Members, I hope he don´t mind that I put his link here

Kaiser 100% working version

Unhappy Cannot run this version too...

Thanks for putting a link to the Kaiser Zip-file, Retroman.
Unfortunately, this copy also does not work. The same symptoms as described above appear again.

You know that old trick, Tim:
- Eject Disk 1 manually.
- Press OK, letting DF0: spin back to track 03 or 04.
- *Then* insert Disk 2.
- Or try an older emulator version. Maybe the latest has problems with the game or so.
- But DO NOT try to play this game with 0.8.8 R8 or older - it will not work.

Unhappy Still doesn't work

Thanks for your suggestion, Andreas. I had never heard of this option before.
Anyway, I have tried to load the game which I downloaded from the link provided in this thread. It still does not work.
I have tried it in the latest version of WinUAE, the November 2001 version of WinUAE and WinFellow.

The game works with the latest WinUAE, but you have to hit the spacebar after you inserted disk #2. Oh yeah, you have to use the internal drive only.

Happy Der Kaiser needs a special treatment...

Argh! I also need to hit the spacebar? *Immediately checks it out in WinUAE *
You are absolutely right! Finally I have managed to get this game running. Many, many thanks for your step-by-step instructions, Walker and Andreas.

I think I have never booted a game so often before in an emulator as Kaiser. Listening to the game's title-music REALLY did get on my nerves. And the only thing I wanted was to grab a decent screenshot...
