Hi Graham. Are we playing this on Easy, Medium, Hard or Normal Mode? Normal is the standard tetris clone - which I vote we should use. Any thoughts?

Yes, Normal mode would be best suited I think.

WHDload version - A1200
Block rotation sound seems to be bugged, nasty noise on some button presses. Nocache helps but does not eliminate. |

Ah good! That feels more like a straight Tetris Vs the player mode.
I tried the other modes earlier this week. Although they start out more interesting, you end up with barriers blocking the screen - which again starts out fun but then becomes infuriating. This way it's just plain tetris. I must say this game is a very well crafted version of tetris - very addictive - and the great stereo-sound-effects when you get a four line rumble is just great! On my speakers the whole room shakes! Re: bugs - yes I found this game only plays bug free with A500 setup. Last edited by lifeschool; 30 September 2012 at 13:39. |

But I really prefer playing Twintris with provessive levels (starting on EASY)... Traditional playing finally gets so boring (NORMAL) and we will loose some unique features of this game, keep in mind that the game is really set to play with levels starting on EASY if you don't touch any options, and this is the config that we should play. |

I used to be a master at Tetris on the original Game Boy, but that was in the mid 90's. I seem to have lost my touch a bit...
2,155 Edit: It seems that (in the ADF version) the hiscore table add's 1 point to your final score! I have attached pic's of my game over screen and the hiscore table. Anyone else find this?? Last edited by Lonewolf10; 01 October 2012 at 22:19. Reason: Just noticed glitch on hiscore table! |

Every version does it I think. As you get a point every time you place a block I wonder if the score counter doesn't register the last one before game over but it shows in the high score table.
If anybody doesn't get a pic of the high score screen but does get it when you get game over just add 1 to the score. |

After quite a few attempts I was doing really well... then I got distracted by something on TV, put a block in the wrong place and the perfect run was ruined
Still, it's a good score My technique involves concentrating on creating 1 line at the very bottom. Attempting to do 4 lines is very dangerous (especially when the blocks fall faster) as you are relying on getting the long thin one (do the shapes have names... I know they are from (or based on) some old Russian puzzle game - no, I'm not talking about Tetris) and sometimes you don't get one for a very long period of time. 3,148 |

I play alot of Tetris Think I am still around 300th on Tetris Splash (xbox360), which considering how many people play it... ain't bad I remember coming second once, but that was only for the week... lol I find this version quite tricky, firstly the piece drop is scrolling not steps, no hold piece, no semi-infinite spin, no hard-drop and only one next piece! This score was on my second go, so i'll try again... hopefully I will get used to the above things missing I would love a "modern" version of Tetris for Amiga, any coders feel up to the challenge?
