Can't wait, the 1st one was a truly magnificent tribute to the old dungeon crawlers genre.

I would rather DLC modules like Black Crypt or Eye of the Beholder series.

1. The fans are working on these since months now.
2. Grimrock authors wouldn't have the rights to release them as DLC. |

Now I have to eat my own words. I was so happy Grimrock would get an official expansion, but now they're going down the sequel road anyway :/
Oh well, I'll wait patiently for the user dungeons to mature. In the mean time I'll keep an eye on the website and slowly get psyched about the next game Hopefully it doesn't come TOO soon so that the user dungeons get a little breathing room to grow, but judging from the article the project is actually already in a certain state of advancement since they're building on top of what they already have. Would be cool if Grimrock 2 would actually be more like an update than an actual sequel. New tech, new content but the old dungeons still work in it. Other than that I hope that some core problems with the game are fixed, such as armor skills being practically useless, skill trees being nearly impossible to complete and magic being a bit underdeveloped. A larger volume of spells would certainly be welcome - heck spells that result from combining skill trees would be awesome. Last edited by gimbal; 21 February 2013 at 21:34. |

Not to go OT, but actually yesterday I saw a site, very poor of info, but with a couple of in-game videos, of a game like Grimrock on which works JackAsser (who posted here on occasion, and who ported Eye of the Beholder to Commodore 64), and that excited me more than Grimrock II, because it was inspired by a 1:1 EoB remake that they were working on and departed from that because of rights.
Sadly the game appears to be iOS only :/ http://www.youtube.com/user/WargByte...?feature=watch [edit]should I or should I not? boh! In the spirit of EoB remakes... http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=24705.45 scroll down... |

I really like the stalking nature of that creature!
Dont worry, sticking to one platform is financial suicide nowadays (except for hobby projects of course). It will probably go to different platforms. |

I was thinking to myself: I haven't checked up on Grimrock 2 in a long while now - well judging by this thread it has been a full year even. So I hopped on over to the official site and immediately got the kind of butterflies in my stomach that you get when you see the love of your life for the first time.
http://www.grimrock.net/ Quote: "Normally the last few weeks of development before launch are really stressful because everything has to come together in a nice clean package" Translated: Grimrock 2 is almost ready! And boy do those new screenshots look tasty... this time we can travel outside too, making it more of a Dungeon Master 2 / Lands of Lore styled game. I can't wait. |

Status update: its in alpha.
http://www.grimrock.net/ ... Guess alexh was right after all, alpha in this case is "rough diamond which still needs weeks of polish". Oh well, at least we'll probably be able to play it when its 30 degrees (Celsius) out. |

We posted ours in the morning , about 1hr after DSOgaming. I just don't like their attitude towards people who disagree with certain reviews or Top 100's.
Also the Dragon Age 2 V Divinity Original Sin review disgrace Oh and they constantly cover up their mags in shops to stop people reading them, you would end up buying it and it's just well crap. I think you guessed already I'm having a PC Gamer rant |
