Give me a theme...(DPaint/Brilliance)
Someone out there want a cartoon drawn on the Amiga? I need to brush up. Put me to work! First person to post a theme, and I'll draw the topic & post the results.

Oh er.. I was thinking more along the lines of a single image / character... But maybe I can do something with this. Stay tuned.

Ok, I'll give you 2, so you can choose:
1) Make Ruff'n'tumble character chasing those machines that stole it's marbles. Here is wikipedia description: "Ruff Rogers, while playing with his marbles in the park, loses one down a rabbit hole, and follows it down. The rabbit hole turns out to be a teleport to an alien planet" 2) Make Dizzy character (from Dizzy adventure games) being hit with rolling pin by his wife (I think she's called Daisy) |

Here we go...
Well, I didn’t actually manage much time with my 1200 over the weekend, but I did this quickie just now in Deluxepaint, using my Wacom tablet and the pressure settings. I’m so rusty at this! I’m sort of going for a hand drawn style with thick and thin lines here, because I went through so much trial and error getting Dpaint pressure to work, buying various serial Wacom tablets on Ebay, finding drivers etc.. Anyway I don’t see that style around too often on the Amiga, and perhaps it’s not quite as clean looking as a lot of the pixel art I see around... (Smartphone screenshots as my Wi-Fi card is out of commission at the moment.)
Drop filled with color in Brilliance, as I couldn’t quite remember how to manage the palette in Dpaint V. This got me thinking... would a point and click Monkey Island style game in this style be possible using RedPill? Hmmmmm? More to come! C Last edited by SvladJelly; 17 January 2019 at 07:07. Also! Apologies I didn't quite get around to any requests. Maybe by next weekend.

Nice work SvladJelly. I have two Wacom Intos serial tablets that will be getting the connection treatment this year to my 1200. Your work really shows what can be done with this software. Well done.

Jive talking Robot
Granted! My god it's been a long time since I've tried a looping sequence. This was done in Dpaint V initially for the pressure sensitive lines with my wacom tablet, then drop fill colored fiddled around with, and exported out of Brilliance in 8 colors. 736x566 video overscan, PAL mode. My hand is in pain. Ghaa! It's been a long time since I animated on my Amiga. The muscle memory is still there. Weird. -Chad PS: Original anim file available here, if you'd like to download it and play it on a real Amiga: (open directory) http://www.cartoonmonkey.com/eab/ Cheers |

During the past years i developed some game engine using tiles but i didn't finish it, nor release a thing, due to lack of graphics (got tired of place holders and ripped gfx). Think of it as a Civilization-like game with rpg elements. I'm badly in need for indoor graphics (dungeons, castles, caves, etc).
