Hard to decide, but obviously not Ocean
![]() My vote goes to Bullfrog for the sake of powermonger and syndicate but maybe I should have chosen Bitmap Bros. |

I always gravitated towards Psygnosis games, although they did not produce all of their games of course, DMA Design I think gets the nod here

Fields of Vision for Breathless, my all time favourite Amiga game. Then SSI for the Beholders, then.. oh I don't know it's too hard to choose, I think it depends on what mood I'm in!:laugh

OK, I modified the poll a bit. I didn't go too crazy, just a few changes. Can't include evrything. If your vote is for DMA, Digital Illusions, etc., then that can fall under Psygnosis. It's the only practical way with so many good teams out there. I could have added Infocom, but really those were just ports from 8-bit systems, so they really didn't make Amiga games, as good as those games were/are.

so i stand by my vote... some of the others suggested stuck only to a couple of genres or made updates of their previous games, the Bitmaps however, brought us lot's of different games and were all made in house |

Cinemaware employed several genres, too. In fact, they even invented the interactive movie-style game!

Sensible Software and Team 17 are 2 of my 5 fav game-makers ever (The others are Treasure, Compile and Konami, if you're interested
![]() I really can't pick one between Sensible Software and Team 17 ... The Amiga is probably the machine with the biggest number of great groups making good games on it. Now, what's the problem with Teque ? They've made Brutal Sports Football , and if I am not mistaken, they also made Machester United Europe for Krisalis.. they were really crap when coming from 8-bits to 16-bits , but they got a lot better later.. If you want to slag-off a company, slag Alternative, they were by far the worst softwarehouse on Amiga ever ... |

Factor Five (Turrican series) would have been my vote.
I always liked the Core Design games. They seemed to put a lot more effort in their products than most software companies. The Bitmap Brothers made some good games but they were all essentially Atari ST ports with marginally better graphics and music. I would have liked to see what they could have done if they developed primarily on the Amiga then downgraded the software for the ST rather than developing on the ST and porting to the Amiga with only minor changes. It's hard to vote for a company like Ocean that seemed to just publish anything they thought would make lots of money regardless of the quality. |

I always loved Lucasfilm / LucasArts adventure games, so my vote goes to them.

This gets a little mixed up. Some of the company produced games, some only distributed. A company like US gold made very little games (wich manely sucked) but distributed a lot of cool games (SSI, Lucas, sierra etc).
Mayby we should do a poll about wich person made the best games. I vote for Andrew Braybrook, He ruled .... |
