Out of interest, what would people class cannon fodder as ? I know its not a shump , but what is it ?

Personally I'd call it a real time strategy/action-mix.
Similar to the Tanya-missions in Command & Conquer.

Yeah, originally, the vote was set up to include all shooters, like Gauntlet 2 etc, but this year I gave John the honour helping me on the votes threads, and he wanted to go with the classic 'space ship' based shoot em ups.

So there is only one rule for this vote, and perhaps it was my fault for putting it in red? Is it clearer in bold?

Doesn't have to be about space ships. Your vehicle/character can also be a bee, dragon, flying horse, llama, jeep, heli, jet, an angel or a mercenary (e.g. New York Warriors).

More often than not they tend to be space ships though.
