RocHard RH800C IDE RAM not properly detected

Hi,

I'm working on a Rotec RH800C external hard drive for an A500.
The original power supply was missing so I built a new one and it works fine.
The controller comes with 2MB onboard and works fine using a standard IDE disk (Conner 240 MB).

I installed additional 2MB of RAM using 2 x 1MB 30-Pin Simm Vintage PC Fpm Memoria Parity 1Mx9 80ns Mitsubishi M5M41000BJ-8....and it works fine.
I simply installed the SIM and changed the relevant board jumper from 2 to 4 MB RAM.

Now I'd like to add 4MB more using the same modules...so adding 4 x 1 MB sim (like the others). But now I installed the additional 4 SIMs , changed the board Jumper and the system starts but hangs while loading the workbench.....

Can someone help me?

set 4 mb
remove working ram in the slot 3 and 4
insert 2 ram and test
repeat test with another ram's

or move first 4 ram on last 4 sockets

I already tested all 4 MB combinations...and it works. It is the 8MB combination that has problems. All RAM SIMMs are tested and are working...
