AFAIK, the MK1 does not have a maprom function, so I cannot see why this is the prob... if it was a MK2, then there is a known problem with KickFlashOS4 , maybe the MK1 shares the same incompatibillity too?

maybe a patch is to blame? if you only try with the 3.9 romupdates, all are OK?

Did you add NOROMUPDATE to the SETPATCH line in SS? It sounds like something is unpatching your updates, or re-kicking a standard kickstart image.

Maybe it is the CS MK1 doing a maprom on warm boot. Is there a switch to disable maprom and/or the onboard ROMS?

afaik, the mk1 doesnt have a maprom feature...

i can use blizkick with it but i have to give some special commands to get it to work

hmm, weird... when i create a romfile with remus and add only that file to the kickflash everything works fine. but when i add other stuff (in the file area) it craps out .... maybe my stupid mistake ??

ok the weirdest thing happened after i typed the last message ....

i changed the rom image for one with some blizkick modules added...

problem happened again after a warm reset the kickflash stuff is gone ...
when i cold boot it works , but as soon as i reset the machine (either ctrl-a-a or reset switch) the image is gone...

even tried switching back to the rom file i used before that, but that also is a no go now

pulling my hair out here
