Classic WB Lite on real standard amiga1200
Im having problems installing CWB on my real amiga.
I have got it up and running in winuae and copied the contents of dh0: to dh1: using the cli command "copy dh0: all to dh1: clone". I then quit winuae and ziped the contents of the directory for dh1: into the file System.zip using winrar. I Then transfered system.zip and the install_real_amiga.adf to my amiga via serial cable. I then placed System.zip into my ready formated dh0: on my real amiga and burned floppy image to disk. I then restarted my amiga with the intall disk in df0: and the program begins to install after which i get the message "intallation complete please reset amiga"(or similar). So I reset the amiga and keep getting the error "C:GetMouseInput: file is not executable" and "C:GetMouseInput failed returncode 10" Any help much appreciated as Ive spent days on this now. Thanks. |

Because you zipped things in windows under a windows file system, the executable flag has gone a miss.
You really don't want to let Windows near the Amiga files or you will loose flags and or special characters that only Amiga files systems support. You do everything from within WinUAE. Try typing the following on your Amiga from the prompt: Protect DH0:#? +RWED ALL QUIET |

No problem; glad you got it working.
To zip files in WinUAE, do exactly what you did (with DH1: as a windows folder I'd imagine) and follow the instructions on the website: http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/instructions.htm Right near the bottom, it shows how to create System.zip in WinUAE. There are of course other ways to install the ClassicWB too - you don't have to use the disk (which basically unzips System.zip and replaces the trashcan icon if you have it present on DH0: ), but it depends on what you have at your disposal. |

"C:GetMouseInput: file is not executable" and "C:GetMouseInput failed returncode 10" error. If I type Protect DH0:#? +RWED ALL QUIET as advised by our mate Bloodwych I have this error: Protect: file is not executable. Any help? I would be very glad to see Classic WB installed on my A1200! Thanks a lot! Daniele |

Boot from your Workbench disk and use the Protect command from there.
