X-bEnCH
After 13 long month of work the first public release of X-bEnCH is finaly out !
X-bEnCH is at this time a cool front end to lauch .exe or whdload but will be able to totaly replace the workbench Gui in the future. It can auto scan all your whdload .slave or .exe to let you use it from keyboard or joystick. Thanks to Gibs and Camy for her help and bug tracking. Remember that at this time X-bEnCH is totaly Alpha so use it at your own risks and be welcomed to return all suggestions or bugs. Thanks for reading. You can download the 0.1 Alpha release here : http://xbench.free.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=25 |

The difference is the finality (Does this word exist ?)
At the end tinylauncher is made to be simple fast and efficient to launch your games. (if Gibs can confirm that ?) Xbench is made to replace the wbench and will have a lot of features like cli and files manager. The chalenge is also to made an oldschool interface (like cracktro) that is fast and smart and can display many colors on a simple A500 (Actually 64 but a previous internal alpha was displaying 160 colors on OCS). The next release (0.2) will be able to switch between 5 listings of game/demos/apps and will have a new advanced setup/prefs manager. The actual xbench release available to download is just the first brick of the wall. |

Thank you all.
@ Amiten: Which path do you use in the setup? Xbench can currently work on two level of directorys so in your case the path should be something like: cd0: Yourgamepath (with no trailing slash !) The setup should then go and explore all sub directory one by one (A, B, C, ...) to find the directory of each game. Tell me if this helped you or not |
