Problem with cdtv
Hi to everyone!
I've a problem with my cdtv..I had no picture on screen so I've discovered that the video card is cracked, and so the composite video out doesn't work.. my question is: will the rgb video out work? it seems that the rgb video out depends from the motherboard and not from the video card, at least I think.. Do you know if I can use the cdtv's hardware (chips, cpu, cd, psu, ecc..) with other amigas (like amiga 500, amiga 600, amiga 1200) ?. thanks. I'm sorry for my bad english |

video card works like "interconnection" between denise and rgb port, so if its broken there will be no picture from rgb port also.

CDTV's "video card" is basically internally connected A520 (TV-modulator). RGB output will work without it. EDIT: apparently it really is needed (haven't confirmed yet) but this looks stupid decision.. (EDIT2: apparently it had to be done this way because slot needs to support genlock module) Anyway, simple wire rerouting should fix the problem easily Quote:

you can easily check it, removing card completely disables rgb port
