ATR - All Terrain Racing input problem (CD32)

I noticed input problem - during the race when I press "blue button" and after this press "red button", the game back to select screen. Now after I choose "arcade mode" I go to track select and after this I see select screen again (I can't go to race).

This was broken in 2.2 when joystick pullup resistor emulation was removed, it should have been kept in cd32 pad mode..

Wait for update? Use older version? Completely forget that this shovelware CD32 "port" exists?
