I keep hearing all this talk of needing more floppies than previously? If I want to install from floppy to a cf card how many floppies will I need?
Cheers |

If you have 3.2 ROMs installed 11 for the OS install then 1 extra if you need the MMU libs. For 3,1 ROMs installed 12 for the OS install then 1 extra if you need the MMU libs. |

I avoided this by partitioning and formatting the CF card on my Mac with Amitools and then installing from the CD in FS-UAE. Then I can just put that CF card into the Amiga.

I did that for 3.1.4 but yeah, too many floppies for me this time. It *may* be possible to copy the CD contents to a storage (not IDE) CF card on a pcmcia adapter, and boot the presinstallation environment with just the modules and install floppies, then 3.2 can mount the adfs.

Yes i know about AmiKit and i dont use your library there. But on my hand made 3.2 distros (and all previous OS's of course), makes a big difference. Icons are crispier, more colourful and as i said before the whole installation flies!!!

I have also built an application with gcc for 3.2 using the 3.2 includes/protos and it worked just fine.
FYI, that was using C++ too. |

@alancfrancis
I was using a cross-compiler on Mac. I think it was bebbo's gcc port. gcc 6.5.0b |

I received the following message as well: Sorry for our delay with responses and processing your order. This delay is due the high demand of OS3.2. As you can imagine, we have received hundreds of orders, so it is taking some time to process them all (they are being processed in order of receipt). For this reason, we are working at the store even on weekends in order to get up to date as soon as possible. Your order is being processed now and it will be shipped in 1-2 days. |

I also ordered the A1200 kickstart chips. I guess they received quite a lot of orders on the 15th so just have a little bit more patience.

I ordered on May 15th and nothing so far, they are apparently inundated so will give them until 15th of June before opening a payal dispute which I think is reasonable and hopefully wont be needed. |

Similar situation here, with different reseller. At first they mentioned 31 May as a date of availability, now they claim Shipping time: until 4 weeks and Please note that there may be considerable delays in delivery due to diskettes and Rom shortages. Curse you, Hyperion!
What angers me the most is that few days ago I have seen a link to some warez site - pirates already have the OS 3.2, paying customers have to wait. And nobody knows for how long :/ |

Mentioned it before, but paid orders on amigastore.eu should have access to an ISO. If you have ordered from them and don't see it, drop them a message. Doesn't help me with my actual amiga kickstarts but using the ISO I'm slowly building up a 3.2 install on a CF card with FS-UAE so its ready to go when the chips and CD arrive.
