ACA 1232 128MB Accelerator

Do anyone know how many MIPS this card will get in SYS info?

It's a card on it's way for sale on Amigakit.

I need to know if it should replace my Apollo 030 42MHz with 68882 FPU and 32MB RAM.

Thanks!

Volt.

no way to tell yet but it should be very close in speed. Just more memory which is a big plus mate

Thanks, I'm looking forward to some sysinfo benchmarks but I guess that must wait till someone buys the card.

Thanks Drohan.

It looks ok though it's not faster than my Apollo 030.

Gulliver you have just made my day...

My last post on the amiga org Vesalia post:

Basically I was looking for at least 7.36MIPs which I wouldn't expect the 1232 to achieve (although I may prove wrong).
Sweet!

Probably not...

Your Apollo card probably has the 68030 overclocked to 40 mhz and it should deliver arround 8.XX Mips in sysinfo. (I have no real data about, only a suposition)

Cool thing in my opinion about the ACA 1232 is that 030 is not overclocked also plus in memory up to 128MB (let´s assume that probably never will be fully used).

Anyway I heard that Apollo 030 is a pretty stable accelerator so probably you don´t want to change it...

In the other hand, I have seen in amigakit webpage that ACA1232 is performing at 7.89 MIPS in sysinfo v3.24, it is a bit higher than test in the video, but not sure in which hardware it is tested on, as capture is showing an ECS chipset in screen capture (Maybe it is combined with ACA500)

Regards.

We tested the ACA1232 yesterday on a PAL A1200 with 4gb CF, Sysinfo gave 7.89 MIPS

Hi,
does anyone experience network problems with these card ?
I can't get my network card running when the ACA1232 is connected to the mainboard.
I tried these cards:
Netgear MA401
Orinco Gold
Fiber Line FL 4680

Send a message via MSN to fitzsteve
MA401's work perfect with my A1200/A600 with Prism2, I replied to your other post too
