A quick polite question,my old stuff in the garage.

hi my first post hello everyone
I've had to clear out my mums loft and so my garage is now "full" (well a small corner is) of my old commodore64 and amiga 500 stuff from a lot of years ago, i've thrown a load of mags out already, before i throw the rest of the hardware/software/mags away i thought i might ask if anyones interested in any of it on here.

im not sure what kind of stuff you would be interested in so what level of detail would you be interested in?

i.e.
if a magazine the date,if a coverdisk the mag/date it was from?
i think the extra floppy disk drive for my a500 was a double
and i think the external harddisk i had had some ram in it etc

i'd like to think the stuff goes to someone that wants it before i take the lot to the rubbish dump.

shall i just catalog/photo some of it and post on here?

ta
mike

Hi a500-uk, and welcome to EAB!

You've come to the right place if you want to sell your Amiga gear.

Whatever you do, please don't throw any of that stuff away until you have given EAB members a chance to buy it from you.

Have a look at some recent threads in the Marketplace forum, which you will see listed if you click on the EAB logo in the top left corner of any page and scroll down until you see the link, then click on it for a list of recent threads and have a good browse.

That will show you what degree of detail is required to let everyone know what you have to sell.

If in doubt, just post a general list and invite questions or bids if anyone is interested in any item, and take it from there.

Pictures might be helpful in showing the condition of some items.

God luck, and thanks for thinking of us at EAB!

@a500-uk

You know, if you hang around long enough, you might end up not wanting to sell your miggies -

Take some time to look around at what these wonderfull *crazy* people have been up to with thier amiga stuff =)

theres a great bunch of helpfull peeps here, so sit back, releax and enjoy the retro-coated yummyness that is EAB =)

Now, should you want to trade, buy or sell, then look at www.AmiBay.com as well, its not an auction site, its a sale site, so you need to have a price in-mind for your kit if you are selling.

however I have a thought that if you take some time and read up on WHDLoad and KGWHD (have a forum search) you will probably want to keep your miggy kit =)

welcome to EAB =)

Get it listed and invite offers, or pick a price if you want to list it on Amibay - but that could be hard if you dont really know what you want for it. If you dont want the hassle of posting it out, I and a few others live localish to you, it could always be picked up and I'd (or someone else) post it on to the buyers.

Take some photos and let us estimate some prices. Don't sell it to some cheeky bugger who only offers a fiver for the lot.

Get a fair price if you decide to sell!

just had a look and all the pages (32 of them) are intact, no rips, no stains, no crumples

i'll post the picture of them all its on lower left, more of supplement than full mag it lists/reviews amiga 100 top games and is an eye opener that there
were so many great games, i forgot about warhead.

Looks like you've got some interesting & rare bits there, would have been sad if that lot got thrown out

Good luck!

Hi and thanks again for thinking of us.

I'm local (North Leeds) and if you were to make a list/take a pic of the rest when you're back then I may well be interested in popping round.
