I got there in the end but those bad ADFs didn't help either. I thought i was never going to find a working config and almost gave up. The IPF on base A500 was the last ditch effort and lo, it worked.

What do you mean, I haven't created "base install plus "Update Packs #1 - 50" incorporated" as yet; as I haven't reached "Update Pack #50"...

The last one I did was the "base install plus "Update Packs #1 - 40" incorporated".

Why would you run all games under 3.1, 1200 settings? That's not going to work for the majority of stuff in my collection.

I always run the games using the Amiga computer / model that it was created for / intended to run on.

Your games run under your configs, albeit with my overrides for video etc. Scanlines off, onscreen leds on and my controller setup. All your collection works great. I'm not a madman.



I am only talking about the games where i have been setting up configs myself, outside of your collection. Very few have not worked with an A1200 setup.

Ooops, sorry... I know it's become a bit of a monster

...but the good news is that you can just move to any drive; as I've used relative paths in WinUAE settings plus all configuration files

You can even obviously run it from an external hard drive or USB stick also.

One guy that has my collection put it on a very large USB stick; then added the ".INI" file so he just takes this everywhere with him. Perfect when he visits friends.

Interesting idea re the USB, I have an SD card, 128g around somewhere maybe that might be a handy solution to use on my laptop or PC... so can move from one to the other in need... might have a play around to see how it goes..

The only thing you may need to do if starting WinUAE is slow due to the number of configurations / <gamedirs> that it needs to scan is as follows:
