The first step would be to do a scandisk/chkdsk with the 'find bad clusters/sectors' option on (if you access it by right clicking on your drive -> properties -> tools, tick both options).

chkdsk was mention already, did you made such scan? have alook here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265
depending on which volumes you have, try "chkdsk volume:/c" in a command window. since "c" will be busy, you have to reboot and the system should start the chkdsk while rebooting. if there are other volumes too, let them check the same way. if there are archives of any kind (.zip .rar, etc) just use winrar and "test" them. |

Also, I'd recommend you try and make a copy of those 'important' files:
1) It will be a backup in case there is really a problem and things get worse 2) It could help reveal a hard drive problem if Windows has a problem accessing one of the files during copy You should also do what hit said. If you did the chkdsk by clicking on the drive it could be that some system files were locked up during the test because used by windows. I don't know if windows reports directly the bad sectors with a message, so maybe you should check the event viewer (type eventvwr in the run dialog). The chkdsk reports are stored there (system section I think. If not, it is the application section). Perhaps, although it is very unlikely, one file got corrupted if you were working and writing on it when the BSOD happened. Otherwise, there could be no problem if you don't notice something weird. |

I wouldn't trust CRC32 but MD5 and SHA1 collisions are really-really-extremely rare.

Yes i compared it this three technique and checksums are same . but some peoples says crc32 suck . but others have mistakes ?

if you had successfully compared the files with your existing checksums, i'd say things are ok. if CRCs and filesystem doesnt show any failures, then i wouldn't bother any further.
![]() but i would suggest a backup of the very important files, if you have another HDD, then consider a backup. |

Looks like a driver crash to me... Have you installed any new devices or updated drivers lately? Try updating your video drivers!
