[Found: Quadralien] Mystery top-down space/station game.

I cannot for the life of me recall a game I once had for the Amiga. What I remember (accuracy mileage may vary):

- Space theme.
- Top-down, square tiles (floors, walls) on a scrolling playfield.
- Involved robots, power cells, radiation.
- Some planning and design mechanic involving repair (?) and managing climbing radiation levels.
- Probably on a space station.
- There may have been direct control over the robots.

Can anyone help out with this mystery?

Thanks!

Nice fit, quick reply.

But it was a lot more primitive than that, graphics and mechanics-wise. More of a puzzler than a tactical strategy.

The characters in the game were the bots, and as I recall there were no humanoids. The entire game took place in top-down perspective.

Cheers!

I think this is a case where the theme is common and hence ambiguous. That does look interesting, but far too shiny and new.

It must have been a title from the early Amiga days. Probably North American, maybe even PD, but I don't have any way to confirm this now.

Pandora's perspective and graphics style is closest to what I remember, but it's not the game. The graphics were pretty simple solid colors, and the shapes were pretty basic. Certainly no humanoid characters of even that detail level.

'88-'90 seems to be about the right era, judging by graphics.

Cheers!

What about Battletech ( http://hol.abime.net/78 ), I think it had cresent moon in the title. I used to love that game.

You had to build up your mechs and repair them and stuff.

EDIT:- I never knew it was a Westwood game, no wonder I loved it, . Westwood ruled.
