Mine contained Menace (i'm not even sure what mag it was) but I was SO proud and their was a hint of magic in the air each time I visited the newsagents and saw (or picked up) a mag with coverdisks.

Read rumours about the new Commodore machine specs on ITV Database's Teletext page. Don't remember if they called it Amiga. I think it was spring 85.

Earliest memory of an Amiga...

There was a new computer store that opened in Gothenburgs biggest shopping mall in late 1986 (USR Data) They had an Atari 520 on display but no Amiga. However, they had a product catalog and there was an A1000 in it which caought my attention (but was way beyond what I could hope for to get as a 12 year old kid) and not long after that the A500 was released and soon enough they got one and placed it along side the Atari, they had some HAM slideshow running on it and also the boing ball demo, and I was *Amazed *(had a c128 at the time) and of course I wanted one.

My first encounter with an Amiga was an A2000 belonging to a school friend's dad, running Ageis Sonix. It seemed like a gift from aliens!

Seeing Speedball 2 on my friends Amiga and being blown away. I got an A500 for Christmas and it was one of the best Christmas's I ever had. I was again in awe of the graphics loading Shadow of the Beast II. The game itself wasn't great but man the graphics were.
