Uridium 2 CD³²?
Now this is interesting. If you look at the end piece for AP32's Hi-Ho Silver Lining section (or basically their CD³² reviews page) on page 99, it mentions Renegade titles that are scheduled to come out for the machine. "Speedball 2, The Chaos Engine, Sensible Soccer, Uridium 2, Fire And Ice", it mentions. Guess what the odd one out in that lineup is!
I wish we knew more about this, or worked out who to talked to for more info as to what happened! |

I don't know, but I could guess that it might have proved tricky to get Uridium 2 to run from CD. From working on the WHDLoad slave, I know that the game saves highscores to floppy and uses a lot of tricky timing stuff in the game that goes wrong when OS swaps happen - as they would have to for it to run from CD. These aren't impossible problems to solve of course, but maybe they decided it wasn't worth the effort?
Just a guess |

Perhaps it would be best to use the game as "/Data" instead of disk images. I uploaded two Uridium 2 Disk's to the Zone which contain the data on two DOS not NDOS disks with a custom HD Loader. The only problem I forsee is if you use Windows the filenames will be incompatible, but Galahad mentioned the filenames could be changed to suit. But if it is all done under Workbench and lzx'd then it shouldn't matter. |

When are you gonna release this cd32 compilation you keep whinging on a about?
All you seem to do is whinge about whdload slaves not working perfectly on the CD32. Why not get a proper Amiga instead |

I know about this
Renegade passed on Uridium 2 CD32, and Binary Emotions nearly published it, but Uridium 2 disk version sold so pitifully badly, that releasing a CD32 version would have been commercial suicide. There was no difference in the version Andrew Braybrook sent us over the disk version other than using AmigaDOS to load the files. No I don't have it, no I can't get it. |

I heard that Galahad has a copy, or at least he did have.
And if he doesn't still have it, I know he can get it. |

Or is it that it doesn't work right because of the limited memory in the CD32? Thanks for the disk images though, I'll check them out. I'll see if Galahad has (or can get) the filed version sent to Renegade as well. |

I think it's something to do with disk images taking up a bit more room.
As we all know the CD32 only had 2MB (and was shit ) so he wants to squeeze whatever he can into his CD32. |
