Lots of games that were artificially hampered by being built for OCS/ECS only. For example, Syndicate.
There was also an all-AGA version of Super Skidmarks in the works that looked incredible but sadly never made it out... That would be nice to see. |

Blackthorne would have been nice to see on AGA.
I fully agree. I tested the demo for the Super Skidmarks AGA on a friend's A1200 (had the A500 and CD32 myself) and was blown away! |

While there are some AGA adventures, there is no RPGs except Evil's Doom.
So i think RPGs are even more scarce for AGA. Good that thanks to CFOU! there are AGA enhanced both Beholders. |

I'd have liked to see a proper AGA Turrican game. Not any of the originals, let it have been Turrican 4.

Thinking of it: since AGA screens use 8 bitplanes, I suppose that graphic adventures suffer floppy disk space issues.
Am I wrong? |

You can get shitloads of graphics unto a single disk by compressing.

It's not a problem these days. Back in the days large games were distributed on floppies on the PC and Amiga, but you had to install them on a harddisk for playing anyway. And then games moved onto CDs. Today you can download from net or get game distributed on CDs. AGA Amigas didn't have a CD drive as a standard though. With the IDE interface on A1200 you can get cheap storage hardware, like harddisks, compact flash cards and CD-ROM drives.

Wouldn't cf cards be a good medium for games releases on amiga 1200. you ship the game on a cf card and an boot floppy disk which you can also save on and put updates on.
Its standard equipment. |

Missing I would say are the good a500 games -> CD32/A1200 shoverlware titles that didn't get any upgrades, or even get released.
*edit* Actually scratch that last one, I can just play the console version on that same potato Last edited by spiff; 02 November 2019 at 09:27. |

Since any AGA Amiga can use HDD without any additional hardware, then HDD should be forced standard. Floppy should be only install medium if ever used. And for bigger games CD as medium.
