AmigaForever USB install help

I thought I'd give installing a USB bootable drive using the KXLight on my AmigaForever cd. I formatted mt USB which has 2GB free space, I booted the disc. checked the version number 8.0

Typed af-fbtxt 2
typed afinstall

selected option 2 (full install)

waited...... tells me it is installed, removed disc and rebooted
I selected KXLight boot

and....

Got an error msg. whch reads.

filesystem type unknown, Partition type 0x27
Error17:
cannot mount selected Partition.

I am calling on my Fellow EAB members for help.

0x27 is a Windows recovery partition (hidden NTFS).

I think this is not gonna work because AF needs an ext3 partition (0x83). KX-light stands for Knoppix-light.
Try to format your partition first or use the partition tool in the AF installation process. And install the bootloader too.

Yay!!! I got it (almost there)

I formatted the pendrive using Ubuntu 10.10 that I borrowed of my neighbour, I used AF 2011 to install only this time selected the copycd and boot like a CD option thingy. Then rebooted. got the error (again!) but I then edited the first line so it boots from the memory stick (Yippeee!) it works. now how do I save my bootloader edit so I dont have to re-edit it every time i boot?

Your booatloader configuration should be /boot/grub/menu.lst. Can you paste it's contents here please? And the contents of that directory?
And where did you install it? On a hd in your computer or on the pen drive?
