Dyna Blaster [lemon] [hol]
The Amiga's very polished version of Bomberman from Japanese developers Hudson Soft in 1991. Offering five person multi-player. The first version of the game came out in 1983, and the European releases on the MSX and ZX Spectrum were titled 'Eric and the Floaters'. Take a look at the cover art to see how not subtle it is. *snigger*

The game doesn't have a high score table, so take your screenshot before leaving the game over screen. Or start a new game and the current high score will be in the top corner.

A bug in the game may mean that when completing the game it doesn't save your high score. Take a screenshot of the last level just in case.

Round Ends: 23:59 (UK Time) on Saturday 22nd May 2021

No continues or infinite score leeching.

I think the whd archive has a hi score of 54000 or so. Pretty sure I wasn't even that good!

Happy with that as a first run. I'll enjoy my short stay at the top.

I pressed continue to grab the score, hope that's ok. If not I have an earlier shot with slightly less points, although there's not much to tell if one has used a continue or not so I guess it's down to faith in our sportsmanship.

Finally remembered to post my score (took a screenshot from my video). Stage 6-6 is quite a long way into the game but I played it reasonably safe. Most of my attempts to bomb the exit and get more points that way tend to end badly although I did it a few times accidentally and largely got away with it.

Quick note about a potential bug found in the last Dyna round. After completing the game it may not be possible to exit the end credits to get your high score. Might want to get a screenshot on the last level to be sure. This is probably only an issue with one of the adfs. They can be a bit glitchy.

I don't know if I'm unlucky or if it happens to everyone but once again, after finishing the game, Dyna did not save my high score. Luckily I took a screengrab on the last boss fight out of paranoia. Was right to. When I started a new game the high score was tiny. Was using the WHDLoad.

Besides that it was a mostly relaxing play through. World 8 gets tricky. Worst thing is starting a level with enemies right next to you. So long as you keep your powers it is fairly easy to finish.

So, if I understood well, to got great points depends if you're lucky. I mean if you found the door for next stage in the last block. So the game gives to you the chance to get special bonus, many many points. Right?

To get lots of points you have to bomb the exit door. That will release baddies that you can kill. It's risky but you can get over 30 million points from doing it. The sooner you find the exit the more kills and points you can get.

I completed it without doing that at all. Only got 1m points.
