DTD wanted for 50HZ modes, for PAL Amiga emulation
Hello there!
I've set up WinUAE on a bloat-free WinXP version (well, souch a thing is impossible, but it comes closer to it) I build with Nlite, wich is hidden an boots directly into WinUAE (it's a shame the best amiga emulator is for Windows, but {bleep} hapends). Problem is 50Hz modes: using DTDCalculator (a nice app for Intel graphics cards not supported by PowerStrip) , I have selected one of the pre-defined 50 Hz modes (720x576@50hz), and inserted it into the register using the register hack utility built into DTDCalculator. The problem is this resolution only works on my monitor (samsung 711Mp) one out of three times. Has anybody complete modelines or DTD's for 50Hz modes known to work well on your monitors?? Can you please post them?? That way, I can include those modes in the register to allow WinUAE working at other 50Hz modes, possibly better supported by my monitor. thanks! |

Got it: using the pre-defined mode 720x576@50hz works now. Perfect amiga emulation for me: vsync, smallest sound buffer so no delay, 50hz at full screen and full speed in aga games...
I have another AMIGA inside my pc case! |

Can you posted some pics from your "emulated" Amiga? How can you sync the Samsung MP 711 to real 50 FPS? This display runs in 56-75Hz, just checked the PDF manual.

I told you. I defined and FORCED a 720x576@50hz video mode in the registry, using DTD Calculator. It's a free tool for Intel video chipsets that allows souch a thing. and it WORKS. I don't have a cam here, just try yourself, it's dead easy. |

Can you really physically sync down from 56 to 50Hz? The software shows 50Hz..that's true.

Some monitors work fine at 50Hz, even though the minimum spec is 56Hz. (My Samsungs also do 50Hz OK.)
Though there's still no guarantee things will be displayed correctly at anything other that 60Hz. |
