Creature / chainsaw demo game
I don't have much of a memory about this, but I think it was on a demo disk.
The 'game' involved doing something (it might have been simply button bashing) before a small furry creature strapped onto a conveyor belt was pushed into a chainsaw / rotary saw. Bit wierd, eh? Any ideas? |

I loved the torture screen levels of Creatures. They were so deviously fun to play. Too bad they were sooo hard to reach and that there were only 3 of them.

Btw-I do recall back in the days of the Creature dev. diary in Zzap64/Amiga,(Dual format coverage at the time),the Rowland Bros. were made aware of an Amiga demo that was circulated which was a rip of the C64 Creatures torture screen, possibly this might be what is being referred to-no bad thing really,'cos the Amiga version,(Not coded by the C64 genious of the Rowland bros aka Apex), sucked! |

Thanks guys - with the help of the cheat, I've been replaying all the torture 'subgames'. Shame about the rest of the game

@Djay. If you'd followed the diary of the C64 original, you'd see why the C64 version dumps all over the 'miggy version. Can't help but wonder if Apex had handled the Amiga version themselves that it'd been a different story. The programmer who did the Amiga version couldn't even get the sprite scales right,(making for an unnecessarily difficult game, poor-moving main sprite). Quite frankly a shoddy conversion that does the C64 version no justice. I think The One released a coverdisk demo of the first torture screen. Checked out the Nth Dimension site for it? |
