Hi mate, as far as I knew we are the only C= and Amiga group in Adelaide :-)
It's fairly informal ATM with myself organizing the GTG's - I'm hoping to organize one for mid to late August. I'm aiming to hire a meeting room for the next one so we can al bring our Amiga's and 64's along - previously they have all been restaurant GTG's. Cheers Derek Ps I usually advertise them a few weeks in advance on all the major 64 & Amiga forums. |

I haven't set a date yet but I'll post here when I do - still recovering from a new baby arriving + I just lost my job and am pretty busy hunting for a new one.
I'm hoping to get a PM contract soon and if I do I'll hire a meeting room somewhere central so we can bring our Maggie's and c64's along. |

amiga user group
Greetings
I would like to invite commodore users to our little friendly amiga user group It is located in Adelaide , South Australia . We meet every monday at 7.00 pm for 7.30 pm . The address is Clarence Park Community Centre 72-74 East Avenue Black Forest SA 5035 Down the side of the building is a drive way with parking out the back . Depending on which way you are driving you may have to do a U turn on the main road to get to the driveway . Depending on work commitments I try to attend every monday . My email address is philip.kocent@bigpond.com Hope to see Adelaide Commodore users there. Most times Andrew Wilson designer of the pheonix board attends . Regards Phil |

Hi Phillip, I'd heard a rumor there was another C= / Amiga user group out there so nice to hear from you.
I'd been organizing a new one every few months since late last year but have put things in hold for a bit due to a new baby arriving and being unexpectedly unemployed. I'll post your info on a couple if other C= / Amiga boards where I usually post upcoming events. It would probably make sense to merge our newer group into your existing one. Cheers Derek Ps I'll hopefully pop along tonight and say hi. Last edited by dJOS; 23 September 2013 at 01:35. |

It was great to meet the C= Amiga user group guys and discover they are in fact the original Adelaide Amiga User Group - TonyC and myself were able to attend and enjoyed ourselves. I think combining our groups will basically double the size of the Adelaide C= Amiga community.
It was also pretty awesome meeting Andrew and seeing his legendary Phoenix a1000 replacement motherboard too (I'd never seen one in the flesh before). Cheers Derek |

Had another great catchup with the original Amiga User group last night and had a couple more lads attend that hadn't been before - my plan is to attend monthly but if possible I might try fortnightly family duties allowing.

I'd love to come but I'm afraid being in Cairns means Adelaide is a bit out of my way for a monthly meeting.....
